Teacher Workshops at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center are designed to provide active, engaging, hands-on opportunities for teachers to have fun and learn more about the natural world of the Gulf Coast. We intend that you leave a Teacher Workshop fully prepared and excited to bring the outdoors to your students- regardless of their age and your teaching area!
Flying Wild is aimed at middle grade educators interested in teaching about birds and bird conservation, though lessons adaptable to most grade levels.
The Flying Wild workshop meets at the Center from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. and provides .6 CEUs for teachers and other education professionals. Pre-registration is required, and each day will be capped at 35 participants. There is NO COST for any of the workshops, though participants should bring a bag lunch and plan on a working lunch each day.
